Getting Royal Mail Credentials
To make a carrier integration with Royal Mail in Canary7, you will need the following:
- x-rmg-user-name
- x-rmg-password
- x-ibm-client-secret
- x-ibm-client-id
The x-ibm-client-id and x-ibm-client-secret are obtained by registering an application on the Royal Mail API (Developer) Portal.

- Click on "My Apps"
- Click on your app
- Highlighted in green shows the Client ID and the Client Secret. Note the Client Secret not be shown but only for you to verify the one that you where provided with.
Adding a Royal Mail Carrier Integration
Within Carrier, click on the Red Action Button, this will bring up a drop-down menu, and select "Add."
Selecting the Royal Mail integration
Follow these steps:
- Enter the Default trading name
- Select Carrier Integration
- Click on "Connect"
Select the Carrier Integration
Enter Carrier Credentials
Enter the following:
- Name of the Integration
- x-rmg-user-name
- x-rmg-password
- x-ibm-client-secret
- x-ibm-client-id
Click on Connect to finish the carrier integration.
