Understanding Role

What is a Role?

A Role defines the specific access, permissions, and responsibilities a user has within Canary7. It determines what actions a user can perform, which areas of the system they can access, and what data they can view or modify. Each role can be assigned to multiple users, ensuring that individuals with similar responsibilities have consistent access levels. By customising roles, organisations can maintain control over system security and ensure that users only have access to the features necessary for their tasks.

Some examples of Roles used in Canary7 include:

  • Master Admin
  • Warehouse Manager
  • Picker
  • Packer
  • Receiver
  • Inventory Controller
