Understanding Reason Code

What is Reason Code?

It is an explanation of why a user needed to make an Inventory Adjustment or Delete/Cancel/Hold a Shipment within Canary7. 

Users can create as many unique reason codes as they like, however they must fall under 1 of 4 Reason Class IDs.

  1.  Adjustment (Examples: Transfer, Status Change, Stock Adjustment).
  2.  Shipment Hold
  3. Shipment Cancel
  4. Shipment Delete

Accessing Reason Code

Within the Navigation menu, click on the search bar, type and click "Reason Code". Reason Code is also in Configuration, under System Setup > Reason Code.

Add Reason Code

Click on the Red Action Buttonred action button, this will bring up a drop-down menu, and select "Add"

Enter Required Fields

Reason Code updated

Enter and Select the following

  1.  Adjustment Code, make sure it's a relevant name.
  2. Adjustment Class ID Add an Adjustment Type.

Ensure thatactive checked is checked so that your Reason Code will appear in Canary7

Once you have selected and entered the required fields, click on the submit buttonsubmit button(1) to add.
