Understanding Process Logs 

What are Process Logs

Process Logs provide a detailed audit trail of system-level events and automated processes within the WMS. This log is essential for tracking what the system has done, when it happened, and whether it was successful.

Accessing Process Logs

To view Process Logs:

  • Open the Navigation Menu.

  • In the Search Bar, type "Process Logs" and select it.

  • Alternatively, go to Logs > Process Logs.

Finding Information within Process Logs

When you open the Process Logs, you'll find a searchable list of executed processes, each with relevant details to help you understand system activity.

Process

Displays the type of system event executed. Examples include:

  • allocate

  • assign job

  • automatic carrier assignment

  • consign to carrier

  • import item

  • job creation

  • shipment event

  • wave run

  • and many more...

💡 You’ll be presented with a dropdown to choose from a full list of processes.

Once you have entered all the information, you need to find your results click on the search buttonsearch button to continue.

Columns returned after searching

  • ⚙️ Action

    Indicates whether the process was a success or a failure.

    🏢 Company / 🏭 Warehouse

    Shows the company and warehouse context where the process took place.

    🧩 Identifiers (1–4)

    Used to capture associated values such as:

    • Item Codes

    • Shipment Numbers

    • Usernames

    • Carrier Names
      These fields help you refine and locate the exact transaction or system activity.

    💬 Message

    Provides additional context, such as:

    • "Screen: Picking"

    • "Allocated 25 units of ITEM001 to Shipment SH123456"
      Useful for understanding the outcome or location of a process in greater detail.

    🔗 Reference

    Typically refers to a Shipment Number or Receipt Number associated with the process.

    🌊 Wave ID

    Indicates the Wave linked to the process, if applicable.

    🕒 Created Date

    Shows the date and time the process ran.

    Reason

    Used to explain why a process failed, if applicable. This can assist in troubleshooting or diagnosing errors.
