Understanding Packing

What is Packing

Packing is taking the items from different containers which belong to the same shipment and placing them into one new container.

Accessing Packing

Within the Navigation menu, click on the search bar, type ''Packing'' and click "Packing". Packing is also in Shipping > Packing.

How to Use Packing

Selecting a Packing Profile

When choosing the Packing profile, the correct initiation method must be set up. Adding a Packing Profile

Enter the Pack locations

Enter the Following:

1. Packing to location
2. Packing from location 

Click on the next button to continue.

Enter the Pack from Container

As shown in green, these are all the available containers for pack pending.

Enter the first container and click on the confirm button to continue. 

Enter the Pack Into Container

Enter the name of the new container you want to pack your items.

Select the Container Type relevant to this container and click the confirm button to continue.  

Packing items into the Shipment Container

As shown in green, these items within the container must be taken out of their current container and packed into their shipment container.

For each item, you need to enter or scan the following:

1.  Item code
2. Quantity

Click on the confirm button to continue and complete this for every item.

Entering the Other Pack from Containers

Note: this only applies if you have more than one container to pack from.

The green area shows the items from the previous containers packed into the shipment container.

Enter the Container ID of the next container you need to Pack from and click the confirm button to continue.   

Packing the other items into the Shipment Container

This is the same process as before. Enter the following:

1. Packing to location
2. Packing from location 

 Repeat this for how many containers and items are needed to prepare the order for shipping, and click the confirm button to continue. 

Completing the Packing Job Execution

After all the items have been added to the Pack into Container, it will prompt you to enter the following:

1.  Location
2. Weight

Now that all the required information has been entered click the confirm button to complete the packing job execution.
