    Understanding Job Class

    What is Job Class?

    A Job Class in Canary7 is a system-defined, hard-coded category that represents the core operational activities in the warehouse. These classes define the fundamental types of work that can be performed and cannot be edited or expanded.

    Job Classes help group related job activities for better organisation, tracking, and operational control.

    The standard Job Classes include:

    • Put Away

    • Shipment Picking

    • Consolidation

    • Packing

    • Staging

    • Consigning

    • Replenishment

    • Cycle Counting

    • Loading

    Each Job Type you create is linked to a specific Job Class, which determines its operational category.

    Accessing Job Class

    To view existing Job Classes:

    1. Open the Navigation Menu

    2. Use the search bar to type "Job Class"

    3. Alternatively, navigate to:
      Configuration > Functional Area Setup > Job Setup > Job Class


    Once you have selected and entered the required fields, click on the submit buttonsubmit button(1) to add.
