Usage of the WMS API
The WMS API is utilised by Canary7 ourselves to perform actions within the WMS, and we allow fair usage API access either using your own credentials, or a dedicated API user. We recommend utilising a dedicated API user is created if you are doing anything other than testing or small/one-off tasks.
We highly recommend contacting our support team if you are planning on using the API for automated processes. We may identify automated traffic as malicious and block IP addresses, revoke access tokens or change passwords, which may lead to disruptions for the API or your tenant's usage of Canary7.
By doing this we will also be able to inform you before we make API changes that may impact you.
