It acts as a transition point where orders are organised, verified, and prepared for dispatch. ### Key Characteristics: - Occurs **after Packing** and **before Consigning**. - Ensures shipments are ready for loading in the correct sequence. - Allows for final checks, such as verifying documentation or carrier allocation. - Helps optimise warehouse space and workflow efficiency. - **Facilitates pallet building** by organising shipments or containers into pallets for easier handling and transport. ### Accessing Staging To access the Staging screen: - Use the Navigation menu search bar — type **“Staging”** and select it. - Or navigate via **Shipping > Staging**. ## How to use Staging ### Create a [Staging Profile](/v1/docs/staging-profile) A **Staging Profile** in your WMS is essentially a filter that defines which staging jobs are presented to the user during job execution. When you're on the Staging Job Execution screen, you select a specific profile that tailors the list of staging jobs based on predefined criteria. Once selected, you **scan the container** to initiate the job. **Key Settings defined by a Staging Profile:** - **Allow Multiple Shipment Docking (Yes/No):** - Determines if the system should permit staging jobs that involve docking multiple shipments in one Location. - **Stage All Containers For Shipment in Location (Yes/No):** - Specifies whether every container in a given shipment should be staged in the same location. - **Verifications:** - **Scan Item (Yes/No) -** Requires item scan as part of the staging verification process. - **Location Check Digit (Yes/No) -** Requires operator to scan the location check digit for the Staging Dock. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/4ed7d884-d42a-4c7e-a949-08033b57dc86/Images/Documentation/image-1741695967521.png)![](https://cdn.document360.io/4ed7d884-d42a-4c7e-a949-08033b57dc86/Images/Documentation/image-1741695989433.png) ### Select the Staging Profile Click on the Profile drop-down menu, nad the correct profile must be selected so the product will be staged correctly.
